Education

Educating priority populations on how to make healthy and informed decisions on safer drug use and safe sex is paramount. Death is not a teachable moment. We believe that everyone should have the best possible information and resources that empower any positive change and further encourages them pursue their best life. The question of abstinence vs harm reduction is not a debate that we wish to engage in or impress upon anyone seeking our services and education on safety. Our goal is to provide training and resources so that every individual can make their own choices and do so in the safest manner possible.

The question of abstinence vs harm reduction is not a debate that we wish to engage in or impress upon anyone seeking our services. Our goal is to offer educational outreach that includes health & wellness alternatives, harm reduction, prevention focused life-saving trainings, and opportunities that cultivate individual and community health.

Topics include overdose recognition & response, syringe access and proper disposal, drug user cultural competency, people first messaging, and other relevant topics. Through the establishment of “Any Positive Change” support groups, peers connect to share information that help them explore adversity and discover self-worth. Through mutual respect and compassion, any step forward is a catalyst to create change, and foster love for oneself and others.

QCNE currently operates from 3 fixed sites at Anuvia Prevention & Recovery, Hope Chapel, and Carolinas CARE Partnership, and mobile outreach. For location days and times please visit: qcne.org
