The mission of the Foundation for H.O.P.E. is to promote and support the health and safety of people who use drugs.

Our vision is to promote safer drug use and access to recovery resources through programs such as
Queen City Harm Reduction and the Center for Prevention Services. Our goal is to stem the recent and dramatic increase
in opioid overdose deaths due to synthetic opioids such as Fentanyl. We invite others to join us in this goal.

A Growing Crisis

The Synthetic Opioid overdose rate grew 112% from 2016 to 2017 in North Carolina (the most recent data available).

Dollars Raised to Support the QCNE Last Year

Every dollar raised helps us address the national public health crisis and supports local efforts in the Charlotte metropolitan region of North Carolina. Contributions aid in providing free life-saving supplies such as sterile equipment, Naloxone (Narcan), educational resources, and other tools that help prevent the spread of infectious diseases and overdose fatalities for people who use drugs and other marginalized groups. Support for this program helps to link people to social resources, treatment options, and promotes individual and community health.

Our Top Priorities

Compassionate healthcare services that address Substance Use Disorder is our primary purpose. The most effective way to address this epidemic is through evidence based harm reduction strategies, prevention, and educational resources. We strive to help priority communities receive access to services that keep people safe and can guide them toward healthcare and treatment options that meet their unique needs.

Better Resources

Finding resources to education and treatment options is our priority, and we want to be a hand in guiding people toward essential services

EDUCATING OUR COMMUNITY

It’s more than just syringes- it’s about knowing what healthcare options are available for you

Outreach and Connection

To be of maximum service, we meet people where they’re at to address their needs.

Compassion and Respect

Everyone, regardless of their history and present life circumstances, deserves understanding and empathy.
